Yesterday I went for a ride around one of the Moab classics's the "Slickrock Bike Trail"Double Thumbs Up

that red rock stuff is great to ride on Big Grin

although driving back to town the outside temperature was reading over 100 degrees Crazy

I did go back and do another lap at sunset Big Grin it had not cooled down much Hmmmm

Interesting that you really enjoyed it. We did it a few months ago and apart from the fun at the start didn't think it was that great!

Make sure you hit porcupine rim (and the trails above it. They were some of the best we found on our tour!

I know what you mean, it's a good trail but not the most awesome thing ever as the guidebooks and locals would have you believe. I think some people find themselves feeling a bit underwhelmed because the trail is so overhyped. But it is heaps of fun, as are plenty of the other trails around there - most of them are worth it just for the views alone.

Are those trees to prevent slips?

And is that a GPS unit on the bars for the Moab ride?>

I rode through the Eskdale bush, first non commute ride in about six weeks. It was a bit gluggy and super tackys have a wee bit more resistant that slicks!
Feel good now though, had to give my bike a bloody clean though.

Yesterday, we rode Whites Bay Loop...v.unfit 2nd ride in about 6 weeks...rode/pushed to the ridgeline, pretty greasy on the way up..

first "real" test of my new marin..
strapped on some protection...and down we went..

lots of fun...bike was superb, gave me new level of confidence, hit jumps, kickers and lines I normally wouldn't consider...

Very pleased...happy to be riding again too. Smile
