i was looking on the cycle express website and saw the transition wheelset. i have heard these wheels are heavy but is a full wheelset at 2.5kg heavy? also are these good wheels for stret park and dirt? thanks

It's just the Hubs that make the Transition wheelsets heavy.

The 32's are lighter than the 36's.

They are great wheelsets - I would advise you to get someone to tension the wheels before you ride on them though (As you should on any machine built wheel).

so are the wheelsets that are on the Cycle Xpress site 08 or 09? also is 2.5kg for the whole whelset actualy that heavy? this is not for xcountry or anythin so is 2.5 kg a reasonalbe weight?

2.5kg doesnt seem drastically heavy for such tough wheels.

I bought them yesterday, can't wait to get home and throw them on the bike! (Assuming the USPS sends them home...)

32h Wheelset 2222g,
36h Wheelset 2449g
Thats with the rear Q/R which is a solid 10mm one.
