Havent ridden the track, but we had a fair bit or rain start of last week and before but have now had about a week of sunshine so will probably be a bit slippery but not to bad, I'm just guessing though.

Cant find Central Rd or Sharlands Creek on google earth |
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Nelson,+Nelson,+New+Zblahblahblah
if you can see the shingle roads in the middle of this link that looks like a horseshoe(a band of trees either side) - with the two norpgs of the shoe pointing to the top right of the page. work back from there along matai valley road. The horse show i'm talking about is the car park for the Kaka track, which I'm 90% sure is 2k or so away from this new track? if you get to the horse shoe you'll be mint
edit - the horse show is in the middle when you open up the full screen
also be interesting if any of that made sense.

Sorry all, we did postpone as it was a pretty grot day. I know the Chch boys had a fun time in the mud and making the most of their trip, but we've rescheduled for this Sunday the 31st.
Forecast is good, and the hills are draining out, finally.
