Me neither - I was just addressing what was being discussed.
They were both class races for sure, and you'd have to say both with worthy victors.

As much as some of the calls from the comentators were average at times, at least we had (somewhat annoyingly interrupted) coverage to be commentated on.. and lets be honest, theyre not going to send specialised commentators for every sport.. Mark Watson at least met up with Jo and went on a training ride with her to get the low down.. so any facts he said about her were what he got from her. Lets not bag him for trying! She said she put him in the hurt box when they were riding too, so the guy at least took his role seriously.

I would have thought a murky brown color would have been the go, make it easier for a break away to disappear off into the 'brown mist'. |
Bring back the Beige!

Also, that guy would have said "decisive break" 800 times per race - grounds enough for me to describe them as awful in itself. |
He also said "asking questions of the bunch" and "chewing on her handle bars" too much. During the road race, similar to Ligget and Sherwin, he told us about 100 times why Contador and Liephiemer missed the tour.
Change the record guys

One of them had gone to the trouble of going for a ride with Jo and finding info to say etc, he seemed to know what he was talking about.

Presume that was the Tri guy.
When Kris Gemmel was commentating on the Tri in 2004 Telfer kept telling him off air to stop saying we would get one - two. He could see it as could most informed watchers but Telfer said it was bad TV to say it.
Phil Ligget used to go for rides with Pro teams. Paul did of course ride 7 tours in his Pro career. Doesn't explain his basdratisation of the English langauge.

Good spotting - I only tuned in late and assumed that "due to the conditions" meant "due to the ssiping rain".

I liked the commentator quote on the replay of the sprint finish -
"here they come, all with their ugly faces on"
Or something to that effect. Gold.

I think Sky has the next Olympics, at least they know how to cover sports, not like TVNZ who seem to play on emotions far too much. I mean just because the rowers clean up in the heats they get all excited.
