I have avid juicy 7's that make a hell of a racket, especially when wet. Currently has genuine avid pads fitted. Anybody had any luck with a different brand of pads that helps with noise and performance?

My juicys on my Dj bike were making a lot of noise and had lost a bit of bite so i took it to the shop and they found i had munted the seals so they replaced both ends under warranty.

They are wicked pads I just put a pair in the front of my DH bike, they definitely feel snottier than the stock pads Double Thumbs Up

I haven't ever really noticed noises from the 4 pairs of Avid's I've owned Eh?

Glazed pads maybe - very common problem. Pull em out and give them a light sand , see if that helps.

My Juicy Ultimates did that after a run down Vic Park - after the smoke cleared they squealed like you wouldn't believe. A light sand sorted them Double Thumbs Up

Just a thought .

nah, my juicies used to squeal all over the show with the stock pads... especially if there was a hint of moisture anywhere.

Put some vesrah pads in and they have been great every since.
