Im with spokes, we used the monitors with #1 (never got any buzzing), but when #2 came along, she went into her own room on the first night, and we never used the monitors.

It doesnt take long to work out, that you will achieve some kind of a 6th sense that your baby is crying, and it is a lot more reliable than spending $69.95 at Leemings.

At times I wouldn't mind one (baby monitor), but in general for me would be a waste of time my house isn't that huge.
Would be handy for when I wanted to go to the man cave though.

Overheard an interesting bit on the radio yesterday, about these freaks that named their daughter 'Teleula does the Hula from Hawaii'.

They mentioned some other childrens names that had been registered in Taranaki, namely ~

#16 Bus Shelter
Midnight Chardonnay
and another family whose children all bore the name of a 6 cylinder Ford motorcar.

Well done Taranaki Double Thumbs Up

Yeah yeah, that was on the news last night!!

Crazy crazy punishment for the parents though. The kid has been taken away into the care of the court.

As usual, probably a lot more to this story, but what I liked was the twins, Fish and Chips.

Laugh Out Loud
