plans i made up for this ramp: Well what you need to do is 1st get together a fair bit of good quality wood (or bad quality but your ramp will be tihs) 1st i measured out the long planks running down the sides on the bottom (3m) then decided the width i want the ramp and layed out the two side planks side by side in the correct distance apart then put planks on top ( as seen in pic) and cut down to the correct width but do not nail/screw them down yet then what you do is get a bendy but fairly strong plank (need two) mitre ten and places like that have them 4 sale cheap cos they used for fences i think then lay this piece of wood on top of the previously cut ones on the ground (this second bendy plank must be about 1 1/2 times longer than the 1st) then get a mate to lift one end of the plank then you go and push down on the plank (this creating the curve so can be as steep/flat as you want) then another mate with a pencil and 2 by 4 planks goes along the side of the curved wood and marks out support pole lengths to cut cut these and nail the bendy wood on this will hold the curve down and from the side will look like a kicker then do the EXACT same on the other side just cut supports all the same length or your ramp will be higher one side then put the two sides up right and decide width (same width you cut top wood to) then cut two extra planks same size as top wood and use them on the bottom one at front one at back in between supports this will hold the sides in correct width and hold them upright now it starts to take shape now screw on the top planks on one last thing just nail a diagonal on the back for extra strength. now your kicker is done!! ( i hope) p.s sorry for lack of punctuation just couldn't be effed. |
