Will you be up there next weekend? I am most likely to be up there on the Sunday.

We may still need some extra chainsaw work to be done, such as rounding off tree stumps, cutting logs into smaller sections for retaining etc.

While your up there check out where the bottom of the new section that joins the existing track on the corner. Ive been thinking to carry more speed through that corner you might have to make it wider on the on the high side. Thing is there is a couple of big logs there. See what you think ,just while you have chainsaws there.

It's above maidstone park in upper hutt - on the western (far) side of the railway lines from town. The bottom of the track comes out close to the minature railway - next to the club rooms, and close to the skate park.

And it's free. It's on public land, but, as always, be careful and don't go munting yourself.

Okay Peoples

I will be running another dig at Maidstone this Saturday 19th of July. Once again we will be meeting at the bottom of the track, next to the clubrooms at 9:45. We will head up the track at 10:00am.

As the track has been cleared, it is now time to start building. We will be actually digging track this time, not just clearing stuff out of the way.

I will be supplying a few tools, but as we have limited numbers of stuff, it would be useful for people to bring their own spades/shovels and possibly rakes.

We will also be figuring out where to build jumps etc, so if you would like to have a say in the design of the track, come along and show yoiur ideas.

Once we have a plan together, I will organise to have some dirt dropped off in key places for us to start.

Look forward to seeing you all there
