Going on what he said at lunch today, that would be a no. Me and mr the hippy are heading out for a wee pootle over long gully - at the wind turbine at about 6:30, up to the top of long gully, down jawbone (the easy track), up to the farm house and up the western hill-line, hopefully to find the track I can remember dropping down to get into south karori road, then maybe (if we've still got legs) something around makara peak.

You're welcome along if you like...

I think getting up to the windturbine by 6:30 would be very marginal, as I have to ride out from tawa and wont get away from there till about 5:20

cheers anyway

I'm heading out for a somewhat rambling ride tonight (following on from my weather-swept effort on sunday). Over to the peak - possibly via deliverance - lower peak, then maybe up to the summit and down t3 (I've never ridden it so a first-time-nighttime-attempt seems in order). Maybe back over wrights hill (or maybe just goldmine). Mostly it'll depend on how long the work I've got to do in the peak takes, and how happy the weather is
