If you're rebuilding it please make it like it was back in the day winding down the hill, before the groms took to it and straightlined all the corners. Just about halved the time it took...

Define harder? There isn't going to be much scope for harder with out building/making stuff.

For those of you who don't know you way around Te Miro, Kaimai Cycles have put a map (of some of the trails) up on the web:

The logging is finished from what I understand and most of the tracks are rideable.
Some of the tracks (44/11 I think) are apparently pretty much gone but apparently some of the others are very clear.
The main fire road going to the top is reportedly out of action but Scotty just rode up gobblers knob to the top.
Hopefully Rex is planning for us to ride out there next week, I will ask him tomorow if he is at the race.

The one right at the top of the hill up past Kaimai Kurla and gobblers knob.
44/11 pretty much goes straight down the hill then you get to a fork and you go left back onto kaimai kurla or keep going right for a short but technical hill climb and then after that it is a fast downhill back to the forestry track.
Hope that helps!
I can barely remember myself, its been a few months since I was out there last.

44 Eleven is shown on the new map:
http://www.kaimaicycles.co.nz/temiro.html
Cool track BTW.
But I would be suprised if that is gone as it was mainly in new pines. Sure it wasn't the Staircase (downhill track)??? This was always planned to be totallled with the new round of logging.

Nah Scott said 44/11 was logged but it is in young pine aye?
44/11 is closest to the downhill track of any of the trails really so its likely it was 44/11 he was talking about.
Does anyone have any plans about how the DH track will be rebuilt?
Hucks over pits of acid spewing babies anyone?
