Grow up boys, perhaps you should start your own Thread or even your own web site to abuse each other, instead of devaluing Vorb and Jamies thread.

Thats not very funny... if thats what you were aiming for. If you were being serious that just sounds stupid.

Hi everyone

Hope you all enjoyed the last shuttle day at Maraetai, we had a good turn out with at least 30 riders braving the elements to get some winter training in.

Good news for those who missed out, there is another day on the 20th of this month for you to get some shuttles in. After a bit of discussion we've decided to use Maraetai again as Dome doesn't suit itself to wet weather riding as much, but as soon as it starts to warm up we'll start using the steeper hill.

Now onto the serious stuff

As a club we're here for you and we want to see Downhill biking grow in Auckland. But to do this we need your help.
From the next shuttle day on the 20th, membership to the club will be compulsory for all events.
Membership for the year will be $45 and this will last until the end of the season in March/April 2009.
In addition to the guarantee, that you will have events year round to take part in we have had some help from our sponsors to provide a great introductory offer to all our members.
NZride are making us some really cool AKDH T-shirts that will come free with each membership.
Bikesmith in Albany will continue to provide free mechanical support at each event, will be giving a 10% discount card to all AKDH members.
We will also provide each member with a race number board to hold onto for the season. This will make rego for all our events a quick and easy affair and you can make them fit your bike better.

As everyone knows, petrol prices and all other costs have gone through the roof and to ensure that Downhilling isn't added to the list, we're providing a pre-pay option for all our events. Members that pre-pay will be able to get a discount on entry as we'll have a better idea of numbers and minimise our losses.

For more info regarding shuttle days or membership details, please email me.

And as last time, please email if you are attending the next event
