Eastern Express MTB Challenge
Incorporating the final of Mid-North Island MTB Champs (M-NIC)
Saturday 13 December, 2008 ~ Eskdale MTB Park ~ Hawkes Bay
Now in it's 8th year and once again with a new course (different circuit every year).
We have made some changes this time round, after feedback from previous events.
2 circuits of a 30km & 10km, with various combinations for each category.
* Open Men = 40km (30 + 10)
* Open Women = 30km (30)
* Vet 1 Men (30-39yrs) = 30km (30)
* Vet 2 Men (40+yrs) = 30km (30)
* Vet Women (30+yrs) = 30km (30)
* Junior Women (U19yrs) = 20km (10 + 10)
* Junior Men (16-18yrs) = 20km (10 + 10)
* Junior Girls (U16yrs) = 10km (10)
* Junior Boys (U16yrs) = 10km (10)
Rec Men (all ages) = 20km (10 + 10)
Rec Women (all ages) = 10km (10)

2008 Mid-North Island Champs (M-NIC)
Annual cross-country series, comprising 4 rounds at the popular central North Island venues of Wairakei Forest in Taupo, Cougar Park in Tokoroa, Whaka Forest at Rotorua & Eskdale MTB Park in the Hawkes Bay.
Categories:
Junior Boys (U16), Junior Girls (U16), Junior Men (U19), Junior Women (U19), Open Men, Open Women, Vet 1 Men (30+), Vet 2 Men (40+), Vet Women (30+)
Each round run independently by the local host club. Competitors either pre-enter or enter on-the-day at each event separately, with the three (3) best round results counted for final series points.
To be eligible for the series, competitors must start the final in Napier.
Trophies awarded to 1st place, medals to 2nd & 3rd for each category at the finals prize-giving.
