Hi there, I have some questions about buing bikes from US. Is it any tax VAT, duty if i buy some bike from US. I cant find it  I appologize for my bad english, thanks Jan

I thuoght it was Flo cycles up in Auck that brought them in.

At the very least, there is 12.5% GST (NZ equivalent of VAT) if the value of the import is over NZ $400 including freight. This applies to all goods imported to NZ.

I ment Flo cycles is the wholesaler. I would like to sell IH bikes. Need a bigger shop though.

I thought that HQ were direct importing them, but they might be just reselling?? Dunno.

I find new 6point6 for 2300 $ in US, HQ bike - 6000 $, it's too much for me. If i pay 12,5% GST I'll have this bike for 3700 NZ $ it's half price than HQ bike
Or I would like buy some used bike for allmountain. Do you know some good sites? I tried trade me, but i didnt find some interesting.

Is the $2300 us dollars or nz dollars?
