Has the acrid smell of baking been hanging heavy in the night air?
no but the cars coming in going at all hours may have raised some interest in that house
(oh and the chick and partener screaming at each other one day and her yelling at him to take his drugs and f off may have contributed to gain attention)
and the fact they have a open home each weekend might also have helped (feel sorry for the guys trying to sell)

I fix bikes for the local Police a lot. Back before we opened the shop I was doing it from home. I would get all kinds of police vehicles turn up with bikes in. Our neigbours never gave us any trouble as they thought we were the baddest SOBs in the world
We found this out when we left as one of them let it slip.

Heh. a good 15 years ago now we were driving with my uncle from Tauranga to Whakatane. At the turnoff there were a couple of police cars and a hertz renta truck with its back open, we drove past and after a couple of secs my uncle is like"what's that smell?"" Being a cheeky bugger he turns the car back around to pull up next to the police. The back of the truck was full to the brim with siezed marijuana. It was a site to behold, but oh no, he didn't just stop there.. he asked one of the boys in blue if we could get our photos taken with the truck, and being the cheeky whitey that he is, the cops abliged. So for a good part of my student life in Hamiltron i had this awesome pic up in our dogdgy student flat of me and my cuzzies doing the thumbs up in front of a truck full of dope. but that's not all. The funniest part is a few months after i had moved out of said dodgy flat, one of the weird flatmates somehow managed to get the police in to raid the house, god knows what he'd done. I'd left the photo there accidently, so there's all my old flatmates on the floor with their hands behind their heads and this cop is interrogating them about who was in the photo and where did they get all the dope from. It was lucky I'd told one of them the story.. I guess the cop thought it was too good a story to be a lie so let them off..... Ahh good times!

Does anyone else think that 7-8am is not the time to target boy racers? Who gets up that early to do skidz?
I did think the same thing, most lazy layabout antisocial boy racers are probably still in bed at that hour, after their big tuesday night out creating havoc on the unsuspecting public.
Could possibly be a WOF & rego check point, but if you call it a boy racer check point then the general public won't complain so much
