What an amazing weekend Snow on the trails!
There was an excellent turn out for the Poker Run (in freezing rain) with a good mix of geared and one-cog bikes - and everybody seemed to have fun. Nice work, Rick Todd and friends.
Check out Graeme M's photos of the poker run and snow on the trails on NEWS pages of www.riderotorua.com.
We also had a great night at the Pig & Whistle with Marcus running the bar helped by Annika and other members of the Society.
The auction - MC'ed by Deano and run by Murray Piesse - was also a big success as well as a lot of laughs.
Thanks to everyone who helped, rode, contributed, spent money on the bar and at the auction.
Not all of you are singlespeeders (but that's OK).
Air fares to the USA for Garth and Annika? Done!
Next: Garth vs Cabin in this Sunday's NDURO 3.
Then: Worlds 2008, Napa in California, August 24. Garth and Annika are booked and the van for transport up there (thanks Events & Venues Rotorua) is, too.
cheers

Yep - that's the most fun I've had on a bike in a long time. The 3 hours on the bike afterwards was great - it's given me cunning plans.

Thanks to the organisers, and Annika / Garth for providing such a good cause.

Sad I couldn't get out there, my day pass was revoked. Sounds like it was a great event though.
