The mums went to go to the movies today.

Kaye checked ahead to make sure that it was ok to have babies in the movies during normal session times. Out of courtesy.

Yes, she was told.

She arrived, en masse with her posse, only to be told "I am sorry, the babies are too young, this is an R16 or whatever movie."

WTF!??!?!?! Nice one Readings.

I'd be reluctant to take a young baby to a public screening. It's damn loud in there, and also the chances of having your own viewing pleasure disrupted, let alone others' in the audience is pretty high.

True, and point taken. But perhaps the movie theater could have thought of that when Kaye rang?

Rather than have a swag of people turn up, find parking, pay for fuel, go through all the kcollobs of getting in to town?

Meh.

lol

Would the cinema not get introuble for letting under agers into a movie? Could be why they wouldn't let them in.

We haven't bothered with the movies since before Chris was born and less likely to go now days.

I took my fella along to 'Horton hears a Who' one rainy Sunday afternoon a few months ago, age was a bit over 18 months I suppose. Was going fine for the first 15 minutes, then decided he'd had enough and we had to leave. Luckliy there was only about another 7 people in the theatre, but yeah like sifter said, its not a cool scene.
