I wonder if they will still taste as good??

Quote:
Nestle has launched its new Maggi Extra Delicious 2 Minute Noodles, which are now baked rather than fried to reduce fat levels.

The noodles are now 97% fat free. The most popular flavour, Chicken, has gone from 15.9 grams of fat per serve to just 2.2 grams. The 2 Minute Noodles are also made with all natural flavours and colours, and include an extra sachet containing dehydrated vegetables.

Nestle says that production of an air baked noodle cake required a significant investment in the development and installation of new technology to achieve the low fat product without compromising taste.

By making this change Nestlé estimates that it has avoided adding over 159 tonnes of fat (16 tonnes of which were saturated fat) to the New Zealand food supply in the next 12 months.

I've never really been a fan of 2 minute noodles but the new ones taste just as average as the old ones did.

There are far better noodles on the market.

Can't beat Noodle Canteen noodles - but that hardly counts - it's fast food. Mmmmmm garlic prawn noodles.

I dunno. When I was couriering, often for the last 2 weeks of the pay month (after the pay was mostly spent on beer, and bike parts) I'd survive on weebix and 2 min noodles. I'd eat a stupidly large number of packs a week. It's also suprising how much fruit you can "liberate" from receptions

I thought it was the high sodium content (especially in the flavour sachet) that made instant noodles not such a healthy choice Eh?
