I own an 08 7 point and love it. You can peddle it no worries, rip down Vic Park DH tracks , it can handle some big drops no worries. I have biked 12 k's to the bottom of Vic Park ,riden a fair way up, riden down Gums, Dazzas ( old ) , Brents , bottom track through the pines , Hospital corner ( when it was really rough ), Double drop and then biked 10.5 k's home into an Easterly and felt good at the end of it and I am by no means fit.
If that type of thing sounds like you then a 7 pt will do it easy Double Thumbs Up
