Any bike from the jamis range would be awesome.

When are you planning on buying this bike?

Sorry - didn't see you had Jamis listed.
Get one of those.
They've got quite the DH pedigree.

very true - the only reason you don't see them winning world cups is that all the other teams got together and got the UCI to ban them from competition on the basis that it was unfair for them to race against such a superior bike.

I understand Santa Cruz, Orange, Commencal etc are now trying to do the same to Kona, for much the same reason

Seriously, I was at the local chainsaw and lawn mower store the other day, and there were some sick as Jamis DH rigs there.
I took one for a spin in the carpark and it handled sweet. Totally flickable! Double Thumbs Up

I recommend you buy the really expensive bike that no one actually know's what it rides like cos they have only read about it in magazines
nah, I recommend you buy the brand my mate imports cos he's the tihszor
nah, I recommend you buy the one that sponsors that rider all the boys think is the tihszor
nah, I recommend you buy the one with all the adverts with the chix with the big ole plastic norks
nah, I recommend you buy the one the local bike emporium will get in for you at a 'really big discount' from a hugely inflated RRP
nah, I recommend you buy the one from the importer that only brings a few of that brand in every year, holds little to no stock, and will make you wait 6 months when things are sent back to the states for warranty issues
nah, I recommend you buy the one all the other groms are on coz they be going big balls
nah, I recommend you buy the exotic unobtanium brand cos you don't wanna be on anything anyone else has ever heard of
nah, I recommend you buy it off an internet scam artist, remember to pay by Western Union!
nah, I recommend the bike I have for sale, only ridden on sundays, mint az aye, those are speed cracks

Did I miss any of the usual bull tihs?

My biggest advice to you is plan well in advance for buying your bike. You don't want to buy a bike too hastily.

If I was you I'd be looking at buying a bike maybe early next year.

Have you thought about when you want to buy yet?

Can I add to that that possibly waiting until early next year might be wise? You should be thinking about this well in advance, because you don't want to be too hasty when purchasing your new DH/freeride bike. Try and work out when you want to buy this bike and plan from there. Double Thumbs Up
