Hi there,
Me and a friend are heading to rotorua in the semester holidays for two days and were wondering what trails in the redwoods you locals (and those familiar) would suggest riding.
we would really like techy as ones with no hucks or big drops, as although im confident on my bike I suck at landing, and he is worried about some of the noises his frame is making and dosn't want to push it.
Ive had a look on Ride Rotorua and was also wondering what the grading system was like, What can be expected from a grade 3 or 4 track?
Thanks heaps.
(NINJA EDIT)
Forgot to say we are both riding single speeds hardtails' with only back brakes. Is it worth swapping up our stuff to have the resources to ride more trails? Im also on K-rads, would it be worth buying some more dirt orientated tires?

should mention although we're ss, pushing up stuff is fine as long as it's worth coming back down

The classic shuttle drop off > Billy T > Split Enz > Pondy DH > Pondy New > last bit of Rollercoaster > short ride on the gravel road back to the shuttle pick up point loop is highly recommended. No big hucks in there that are not optional. Front brake recommended so you dont end up skidding down the trail and wrecking it but you could get away with the K-Rads if its been dry for a while, the tracks there have amazing traction and drain very quickly.
