Rangers in the Waitakes, do not have motorbikes, at least not on our side, he drives a ute that would not fit down the trails we are riding.
Those in the know would have realised will cramming down our favourite Waitakes trails we go past the rangers house. He also gives us a friendly wave when we are riding up the road to the trails, things are changing finally, now to work on the council to make some trails legal.

For anyone living on the east we have made a track at Macleans bush by the college- its about 800m or 2mins. Its pretty rutty and the creek crossings have all washed out. if anyone has pipes we could use can u ditch them down there for us.
Oh, btw does anyone know how to time a race without expensive equipment? I thought maybe walkie-talkies and a stopwatch?

write a 2 lists of all the people racing, start 2 stop watches atexactly the same time, watch them to make sure they're pretty synced. Send one list and stop watch to the top, one list and watch to the bottom.
Then the guy at the top writes down the time everyone starts according to the stopwatch. The guy at the bottom records finishing times.
Now the tricky part. Put all the data in excel and subtract the finish times from the start times, and hey presto, you have time difference, or the time it took to get down the hill

Maraetai, Dome Valley, and a currently unrideable work in progress in Riverhead that'll be finished in a month.

Dont forget the DH course at Murawai. Think they had a National round there.

They did years ago, it's in a bit of a state at the momnet, but I believe there may or may not be plans afoot
Maraetai DH track is just past Maraetai village itself, I don't know the road name, sorry.
