I'm keen. although hamilton has no jumptrack besides the BMX track, and any type of non XC fun at the pukete park gets fenced off/covered up/a post put in front of the run up/ pushed over or filled in (even if it is a natural mound or drop off it seems). So where to? peakcoces has been busted up apparently, Only place is te miro I suppose.

drjme - I am one of those that does the work out there.

In the past we have had not too many problems, but recently the council has been getting on our case about certain features. The grass park area is technically a dog exercise area and anything done there needs prior approval. Gap jumps are a no-no and areas where the track gets crossed are seen as possible issues so have to be monitored closely.

A greater part of the problem is that those hucks built by some are just way too tempting for the idiots on pit bikes and that draws attention to the features.

On a positive note - the club is currently working very hard to obtain the use of a nice piece of land that will lend itself perfectly to a bit of a downhill run and other areas with some cool possibilities.
Once sorted we will announce to all.

Ill be keen to help out in any way I can. PM me and I can swap details. I know its not all jumps, but a good mix of tech, jumps and XC is would be really fun and challenging. I understand the council issues, but if there are any plans for other types of riding I'm more than happy to help out.
