Hello thrillseekers,

This Sunday is Missing Link day!
Missing link is a reasonably gnarly trail with fantastic views that you do not normally see while riding it!

Not wanting to get scratched without even crashing? Why not come along and clear some vegetation Wink

Had a bad week? I can recommend bashing emerging rocks with sledgehammers for a while Double Thumbs Up

No doubt there will be ruts and bits that also need polishing as well.

Come along for a while or for a few hours, your help is very much appreciated!

We plan to start at 10am at the entrance to MISSING LINK on the 4wd road, which is also the end point of Sally Alley. Lunch will probably be by the wooden seat on Missing Link itself.
Turn up anytime and lend a hand if you can, experience is not necessary (on the job training is a specialty) and everybody is welcome.
Due to the narrowness and lack of visibility along this track, I do suggest that dogs and children should skip this one!

*tools and gloves/safety glasses etc will be provided.
*food and drinks for lunch will be excellent.

*SPOT PRIZES TOO.. you might WIN WIN WIN a race Jersey courtesy of PENNY FARTHING CYCLES Big Grin

I think the rain will not be such a big effect as making sure your bike is safely out of the way.

The rockier and gravelled tracks handle rain quite well, but after such a long dry spell we shall see!.

This week's rain will make most of the track work easier by softening the dirt.
It also means any track work will pack down much faster.

Sunday is looking to be a pretty dry day too Smile

Why would you want to take rocks and ruts OUT?

Nope, it applies to anybody Smile Smile

However what gets done on each track is a combination of
-experience of how a track degrades over time
-how many people turn up
-a consensus of what needs to be done

cheers!
