Here's the results for the 2008 Naseby 12hr. Congratulations to all the competitors who braved the cold conditions, and commiserations to those that ended up in the water race!
Overall there were 684 competitors who rode 3288 laps. This adds up to a total distance of about 36168km, which is less then 4000km short of riding right around the world. Maybe we'll crack that one next year.
The fastest lap was 0:24:38 by Tony Hogg on his first lap, which is pretty impressive given that he was riding solo. Only two other riders managed to break the 25 minute mark - Craig Tolson with a 0:24:49 on his mixed teams 16th lap and Marcus Roy with a 0:24:51 on his mens teams 12th lap.

Despite the cold weather and the snow at the start it was a whole lot of fun, the course dried out and was fast and there was a real good vibe around the camp site.

Great day. Little snow at the start was fun. Course was great fun to ride. Brilliant organisation but Craig and the fellas at Mountain Bike Otago.

Was a fantastic day. Despite the morning snowfall and all the moisture around, the tracks were not that muddy and improved as the day progressed.
Thanks to MBO, Red Cross, support crew and all the other volunteers who put up with cold and kept it running smoothly.
