put camera's on traffic lights, auto ticketing will stop red light runners, they have them in most modern cities in the world.

Apart from those people that don't care about fines.

As a whole buses here in hamilton are not to bad time wise etc... some of the drivers need to be dragged out of thier seats and beaten. The missus had two fired in the space of a year when she worked for the concil acouple of years ago. I'm sure you could get more fired easy enough.

My wife is a regular busser, as am I when I'm not riding or walking, and I have to say that the busses can be as bad as people think. I'm going to take umbrage with the big, moustachioed driver of the #17. He's hopless. Also, I get pretty peeved sitting in a bus at the start of the run while the driver finishes their smoke, has a chat to the other drivers and then decides it's time to get rolling about 7 minutes late.

Where are you? Buses in Chch are excellent, punctual, mostly clean, and lots of them. The one I take is especially good because it is used mostly by students and lecturers.

The bus to Hornby on the other hand. Blink

No 07eastride is correct and i have never come across anything quite like the Htown bus system Crazy .The drivers simply dont care what they do, and have no respect at all for other road users. They seem to have a rental car attitude towards their vehicals (e.g its not mine why do I give a kcuf if I wreck it) and on many occasions ive witnessed insane near misses and crashs by bus drivers, I think the bus company holds weekly road rage training classes to maintain a healthy level of insanity amongst its staff..

The traffic fines (and indeed any fines) should be linked to getting a WOF getting a REGO , getting a mobile phone or getting credit on the phone etc....

its only a police state if you break the law....

if people cannot regulate themselves to stay within the law and, the breaking of that law causes harm and damage to other people, then there should be a system in place to hunt them down like dogs and used in medical experiments to help the greater good.....

now leave me alone while i make plans to invade poland....and finish Mein Kampf
