Im also a very good trail builder and have created some 15 downhill runs where i live, whats the score with trailbuilding in the Palmerston area?Is it governed by councils/forrestry commissions etc, whats the local terrain like (steepnes trees rocks type of soil).
Oh and im 33 years old btw been downhilling for about 10 years but still cant ride for tihs justride for fun i have raced a bit in the UK but i found it just too competative and overcrowded,at the Cwmcarn track its not unusual to get 200 plus riders up there on a Sunday.
As for the bike im riding a Foes DHS Mono at the moment.Would a 10" bike be overkill for the tracks over there.
Cheers Dan

Our local area has just been aquired by council
currently they are writing a managemnt plan for the area, the local club is involved wth this process, but the club needs more DHers to be memebers to assist with the DH voice being heard
we have some good trails that the locals have built about 20minutes from town (push acces only, no shuttles)
otherwise we have a 2 good places to go riding with limited access to shuttles within 1 hours drive (levin and wanganui)
you're bike will be fine for anything in NZ DH wise, I'm currently riding a Foes Fly (DeeMax, 66RC) and we have locals on all kinds of bikes including Sunday's and Glory's

Theres one man , chopper, behind the track building here. Me and my friends do want to do some building.
The main thing is to try not make it cross over the other tracks(well in places you can't see if theres a rider).
As pbr says theres a wide range of bikes ridden here from, ht's to glorys and the like.

Is there much work in the way of forestry out that way as thats what im going to be looking into, either that of some sort of forklift work, any info on either eill be good.
