yea its kind of stupid anyone should be aloud to ride there if they can jump after all its a public place and they had to ask the council to build there i think they let you ride them if your on a bmx though

Good, (i assume) you haven't put the blood, sweat and tears into making the trails, so how can you expect to come along with a big, heavy mountain bike with 3 inch tyres and a real deep tread, (I'm guessing a stinky) ride THEIR trails, case a heap of times, then leave without saying thanks. I bet you any money, if you are good at riding trails, approach the builders and ask them if you can ride their trails, they can only say yes or no.
Its all part of trail etiquette. get to know the people, offer to help build, have conversations with them, after all its another pair of hands for their trails.
Best of all, build your own, and tell bmxers to go away.

why do you automatically think he rides a stinky according to his profile he has an stp and the bmxers don't really like mountainbikers fullstop
