Well.

We left the course just after 8 (we found a bit that hadn't been demarked when we were just about to leave), then after signing off with the farmer and collecting all the road signs it was about 9 when we arrived at Waipara to pick up our children. My lovely sister had some dinner for us, so we took a few minutes break to eat that then continued the slow trip home to Halswell and arrived about 11 pm. While we unpacked I tried to connect to the internet so I could say I wouldn't be getting the results up that evening, but I couldn't get on to post. Fell in to bed about 1 am. Rang paradise this morning to find our account was frozen because the bill hadn't been paid - the joys of moving!

But I'm here now. And feeling slightly less exhausted but could still sleep for a few more hours I reckon.

So, I'll get the results out ASAP, but first I'll have some breakfast

Right, I'll have a shower now, then I'll work on the afternoon results (though my children are complaining about me being busy...)

Okay, here are the results for the afternoon race - Elite, U19 and U23 categories.

I'm Master2 not Master1.......but then again, why would I want to admit that I was over 40?

Great race......hot and dusty, with lots of action. Broken people and bikes.

Just means you get to take two minutes off your time (for the later start time)!

I just got faster.....on lap one....although now I'll be 40+ again.
It was good to be under 40 years old, even though it was just for a few minutes.

you must really be in denial - I said to you in the start grid 'if you're under 40 you need to be in that wave' - so you started with the young(er) guns too!

I got to race! After designing and building the course and organising races on it for a few years now I had only riden around it a few times and had never had the opportunity to race on it. But with heaps of good helpers this year I was able to and loved it. The last lap hurt but I REALLY enjoyed the first three. I can see why people rave about it cos it's very cool to race on. It's quite different racing it than just crusing around - the laps seemed way shorter to me than they ever have before. Thanks for all those great helpers who pitched in to free me up to race in the morning - I really appreciate it

Man... tired today! 2 days of marshalling and helping out. Great to see so many people out there and loving the course!!

Definetly started with the Vet2's, front of the grid.
I remember, because I won the start loop race....(and nobody deny that there isn't a start loop race...because there is!)
I started on the RHS grid , lead Phelps up the grass.....ask Helena, Phelps, Geoff Mirfin, they all saw me there. Honest Indian.

great race - I cruised the whole thing and had a great time(I'm too slow on the descents to make hammering the ups worthwile ). Did miss the deathly climb that 'the dodgy bit' has now broken up (used to be good for a bit of pukage), but I'm probably the only person who did
