thats what I said, but the shop disagreed. They said I hit the drop out because it was so twisted but if I hit the drop out hard enough to do that I would of noticed.

It was weird. The first ride everything was fine, 2nd the gear changing was not as smooth and was real loud, third ride the gears got progressively worse , started to skip and then it died!!!!!!!!!!! I did nothing......and im hating having to downgrade my new race bike

Aren't deraileurs what plebs use? Eh?

Also, looks like it's time for you to get to a manicure... you don't want the metro crowd shunning you for ditching SRAM AND having anything less than perfect nails!!! Crazy Crazy

now I'm just heading out to get a leg wax, manicure and spray on tan...

As a minimum you would need a new Shimano rear shifter as Shimano use a different leverage ratio to SRAM; front is the same.

For your Reign (X7 shifters/X9 rear d) you'd get a better performance improvement by changing your shifters to X9 IMHO. I like the XT Shadow I have on my Reign but still like SRAM even more.

You can get a Sram shifter thats made to work with shimano's pull ratio called the rocket (x9) and attack (x7)

But he'd still need to buy new shifters...
XT shifters matched with the XT shadow r/mech would work very nicely.

SLG concurs (she's got xt shadow and the new 77x series rapidfires - likes them a lot more than the X9 she had)

Of course I shouldn't have been so cheap and got her XTR rapidfires (which gains you multiple release) and a XTR shadow to match her XTR brakes, but at twice the price of XT.....well maybe her scots stinginess is contagious Blush

yes i was well over due for my nails, i just can't keep ahead of my busy schedule. ah wel.

Derallieurs are for the less advanced, but if you are going to have one, it should at least have some carbonium in it. And quite honestly, this xtr tihs rules.
