Calendar Event: September 27, 2007 - September 28, 2007

The NZCT South Island Secondary Schools MTB Championships concluded today with the Downhill competition taking place in dry, hot and dusty conditions in Clyde.

Local riders dominated todays results with Georgia Wight and Sophie Williamson (Dunstan High School) ending the championships with a perfect three peat. In the Senior Boys, Christchurch Boys High School's Joseph Nation rode the quickest ride of the day, clocking in at 2:31.94. A broken finger did nothing to hinder Dunstan High School's Senn Steel, he won the Intermediate Boys in the 2nd fastest time of the day.

Dunstan High School, the host of the event, took out many of the overall honours and was the outright winner in the schools catergory.

i didnt know how few runs you guys got to practise...

it's no wonder the dunstan kids won, 1 run is hardly enough to learn a track and get up to race speed on it.

ps. just how big was this hill that had to be climbed?
