Today was like a bit of a roll of the dice when it came to getting down the track. Temperatures were in the low 30's most of the weekend and the track was so dry and dusty I think it could have rained for a week and still not made a difference.
Starting at aroud 2500m and finishing at 1800m the track was very short and fast with not much pedaling except for the last flat section at the bottom which wound its way through an old 4X tack.
Nathan Rankin was top Kiwi after the first run with a time that put him into 4th place. Nathan kept his good form finishing just 1.8 seconds back from first placed Mikael Pascal.
Matt Scoles qualified in 2nd place in the juniors but dropped back to 3rd after dissapearing into the trees on the lower section and not reapearing for almost a minute.
2stage Bikes' Glenn Hadens first run put him in 8th place but a mistake on the final run dropped him back to 17th place in elite, He was a bit dissapointed with himself today and put his very respectable top 20 elite result down to 'a bad weekend'. He was only 6.5 seconds off the pace.

Back in Morzine now off to a French national race next weekend.
