 |
|
Calendar Event: I am off to Martinborough for the weekend, and wanted to know if there are any good rides over that way that arent quite as epic as the haurangi/aorangi crossing in the Kennetts book.
Epic is good, just not right for this weekend.
Any suggestions?

I rode the haurangi/aorangi crossing on a fully rigid with three days gear. That was over ten years ago now though. Good ride, we had snow on the tops. You should be able to knock the best bits out pretty quick.
Kiriwhakapapa? is close?

yeah incline is a good start, first 2kms of single track is a bit daunting at the moment for a begginner maybe, ocean beach if you like the scenic side of things with the odd rise in the ground but as for martinborough itself it is a little limited unless you find a gravel road or 2 heading for the hills.
