Some good forestry, off ngunguru ford rd.
Pretty muddy/wet in winter now, and some river crossings. . .
probably more epic at this time of year than XC, and no DH to speak of
well that I know of

theres a decent ride from above sandy bay to whananaki south... its along a doc walkway which is actually a paper rd so should be no issues. glenbervie is a few k's the other way... its a bit hilly for us out of towners but good riding regardless

good fast 4wd track a few mins out of ngunguru...its about 1.5km of 4wd track, fast and really fun

Did that a number of years ago as the end of the Last Chance race that went from forest headquarters in Glenbervie out to the beach. It was mint.
