I'm trying to fit some 05 888's rc's to my rig but having issues with adaptor for my xt 4 pot brakes holes line up on the adaptor I brought but the calaper and rotor are about 3 - 4 mm out? are 05's different ? they post mount.

Sounds like you have a manitou 170mm adaptor. the only way to solve will be the right adaptor. What is the code on the adaptor you have?

not got adapter here is at work shop but thinking you will be right as too far out to be anything but wrong part cheers

If they're anything like other Marzocchi forks (Z1's in particular), you'll need the wee spacers to fit your caliper (they're about 3mm thick, funnily enough).

have tried the spacers but was unsure about strenght as losa spacers
