Davide de la Fuente, eh?
Interesting.
Your team looks heavily dominated by sprinters sifter! 5 of them...

LOL! I don't really know what I'm doing, but I wanted to play...
I'm hoping that there'll be enough bunch finishes or random/unknown breakaways for the sprinters to get some big points

A sprinter break up the Col? That'd be cool.
They should have a graded handicap stage up a mountain!

What I mean by random breakaways is for them to be filled with nobodies, and the peloton to have a sprint finish for still big points. I don't expect many of my 10 to be busy in the mountains...

Not trying to be a parade-rainer, but I think the likelihood of bunch finishes is way down - there look like only about 3 or 4 that I think will be sprint finishes!

Oh well its not the first time i've been alone in my opinions |
I dunno... I still reckon Soler has better support in the hills from the likes of Cardenas than Di Gregorio who could be on his own when the tough get going. But in saying that, Soler pretty much did it alone last year.

yeah agree, i steered clear of sprinters and went for strong riders as such. this years tour has less BIG mountain stages as such, but also less sprinter stages. so going to favour voight breakaways!

We got 18 starters so far... entries in by midnight tomorrow if you want to be in for the loot and honour of winning!
...although I'll probably be nice and still take entries on Saturday at least till evening.
Thoughts around the points situation for the top 3 on GC too is that there is a need to reward more for picking the place correctly as under the current structure there is only a point difference between first and second. So I propose, in a Zimbabwean style democratic fashion, to award a bonus 100 points if the rider you picked for first place actually comes first and 50 for second, 25 for third.

I'd forgotten there are no time bonuses this year - so again, wheel sucking is as good as winning...
It'll be very hard for Evans to be dislodged.
