2008/2009 Summer Road Racing Series for Women and Juniors

PNP is offering a road cycling series on Thursday evenings tailored to women and junior cyclists.

The series will be run on a single course starting from Burnham Wharf and following the coast around the Miramar peninsula to finish in Lyall Bay. The course length is 15km. Racing will start at 6pm.

* simple format
* simple rules
* safe, flat course
* electronic timing
* build skills and speed
* There will be separate races for women and juniors.

Eight rounds in total, with 4 before Christmas and 4 in February 09.

Entry is $20 for all 8 races and includes the cost of a timing tag.

The format will be a mix of individual time trial (ITT), team time trial (TTT) and handicap road races.

There will be prizes for winners and most improved riders over the series.

Series dates and format:

Round 1: 13 November (ITT)
Round 2: 20 November (ITT)
Round 3: 27 November (Team TT)
Round 4: 4 December (TBA)
Round 5: 5 February (TBA)
Round 6: 12 February (TBA)
Round 7: 19 February (RRace)
Round 8: 26 February (ITT)
Round one will be an Individual Time Trial starting at 6pm Thursday, 13 Nov from Burnham Wharf. Registration from 5:30pm. Just turn-up and ride.
