I want to come.... however I don't have a car... If someone could give me a lift out there from karori/ wellington way that'd be great...
I'm happy to ride down and meet people in town if they're willing to give me a lift out there...

We had a good turn out on Saturday. 6 of us up there this week.

Managed to get a berm built, or at least the base of it. We also started clearing the run-in to the log double.

Looking like we will be able to have 3 levels of difficulty for this bit.

Easy line around the right hand side of the logs. This will be the slowest line.
Main line will be a roller double over the logs, with a berm straight after. Will be more of a rythym jump than a huck.
Fast line will be a 4-5 metre hipped gap jump to a log further down. This will bypass the bermed corner.

There is still plenty of work to be done up there, but the track is 95% cleared and ridable. We only have a few rough areas which need some TLC to make them ridable.

All feedback so far on the track has been very positive, so I cant wait to build some of the track features.

On a building note, it sounds like there are quite a few people heading up to Wangas this weekend for the race, and I may be also. So currently there is no dig this weekend. Hopefully there will be a dig the following weekend. Stay tuned for a confirmed day.

We already have a lot of experienced builders that have put their hands up for building jumps etc.

The place where we are lacking man power is the stages before that - clearing and shaping track, trimming trees back, removing logs etc. If you would like to help, then come along to any dig day, and put those skills to good use.

And help build the track? Jumps and stunts are only a very small part of building a track.

I am out for this weekend. My parents are down for the weekend, so I have to spend some time with them.

I will try and organise someone else to lead, otherwise you guys know enough about what is going on to organise something for yourselves.

If you need tools pm me, and someonie can come pick them up from my place, and drop them off afterwards.

No. The last tie I was up there was the last dig day. I would think the wheel barrow is somewhere in the bush.

The rake and pck were in the area after the off camber corner.
