 |
|
just replaced the pads in a set of juicy 5's. the lever feel was alright before i replaced them, but now the lever pulls all the way to the bar??? real real spongy. what have i done wrong????
air in lines? but i just replaced the pads, i did'nt even try to bleed them......
if they need to be bled, any idea what this would cost on average from a LBS???
cheers in advance.

you might find with the bike the right way up, that they pump up by repeated squeezing? it does sound like there is air in the system....

If you pushed the pistons back out you might just need to pump the lever a few times before it sets up firm again??
It is possible that there is an air bubble in the line, but I would not have thought it was very likely.
Hope you put a set of Vesrah pads in! I put Vesrah pads into my Juicy 5s and it made a huge difference!

At the shop where I work (in palmy) allow between $35 and $65, more like $65 for the pair for Avid

maybe the bike shops price it like that so they won't get asked to bleed juicys too often?

I thought we were talking about Avid's, not Hopes.
