Hey hey hey. Remember back to last November - I (Paul, Honeymonster, Essence Bicycle) ran a competition where you could spec your own Cotic up to $5500, and maybe win it.
Well, Skint won (search the forum and you'll find his winning entry), and he gets a Cotic Roadrat built up as a flat bar commuter, 1x9 gear setup and adorned with XTR, XT, Mavic and Ritchey bits, and a little titanium to top it off.
This afternoon I'll be building the bike. And I'll be PXTing the build here as I go. Here's hoping I have all the parts, and I can work the PXT thing on my phone...
We'll start around 1.30. Finish and test ride a few hours later.
Now some blatant advertising to kick us off. Those $5500 builds you all put in. If you were to buy that from me I reckon (with the current sock sale) I could build the bike and you'd only pay $4200. That goes for any of the bikes you all specced. Take 20-22% off the price and thats what it would actually cost you. All custom built. All to your exact spec. All finished with loving care.

just the usual prices minus the sale discount on the frames. All those competition builds were priced at RRP, and I don't charge anywhere near RRP for parts I use in bike builds.
If I was a slick salesman I'd have contacted all the entries and told them that at the time. But I'm not, and I didn't. Which makes me quite happy. Salesmen are directly related to the devil. And that means I still have a small fighting chance of redemption.
I'd better get downstairs and get framesavering before my mind goes.

Wicked I have something to do today while I get over the effects of the codine(sp) I had to take
