Trance 0 - $4995.00 RRP
Honda CRF250R - $10,995.00 RRP
A lot more metal and build goes into a MX bike compared to a MTB and I know the margins on them are satisfactory for all involved.
The reality of the matter is that all high end bicycles are overpriced as they tend to be ego purchases in many cases. The bike shops don't necessarily make much on a decent bike, but the importer and manufacturer sure as hell does.

Yeah. It all reeks of an elaborate scam. Like the Y2K Bug, SAR's and the bird 'flu.

It doesn't matter, Spokes - we're so rich from all the massive profits we're making we'll be able to by any Ducati we want...

just think:
the more bikes that are sold, they will eventually need servicing.
increasing a need for more mechanics.
