Take in some of New Zealand's most beautiful scenery as you cycle from Rotorua to Whakatane. The unique 90km course has been designed to pass four stunning lakes as it winds up the undulating terrain of State Highway 30. Riders will pass forest sections, over the Rotomas to the Rangitaiki plains, rolling through Te Teko to Awakeri and onto the finish in Whakatane.

Join over 1000 other cyclists to ride this exciting new course. The ride is open to recreational and serious riders alike - the inaugural Pinarello R4 will feature thousands of dollars worth of spot prizes as well as prizes for category winners.

So if you enjoy a challenge and want to give your cycling a goal for the autumn, this is the perfect event. Not only will it keep you healthy, but the Pinarello R4 is also helping to keep New Zealand's babies healthy. A percentage of the event's proceeds will be donated to the Royal New Zealand Plunket Society to support the development of kiwi kids under five.

If you're looking for a reason to get fit and keep active, get a crew together and start training for the Pinarello R4 today.

Oooh, I would love to do this ride. Damn clashing with a MTB event in Vegas on the same day.
Maybe next year.

Hey, just wondering if anyone who is doing this race is driving to Rotorua via the Mt Maunganui/Whakatane side? And if so can me and my bike please hitch a ride? I live round Papamoa and am happy to pay for petrol. And chocolate.
Alternatively I can fit one other bike/person in my car if there's anyone going from round Tauranga/'Mount area that needs a ride, but I'd be happier to bike home after the race than pay the $30 shuttle plus petrol to go back to Rotorua just to retrieve my car. Smile

Eh?

Yes, only 11 more sleeps. I'm psyched for this race! I'm going to win the Pinarello frame too.
Double Thumbs Up
