You beauties!

Great to have something so fun and great for spectating too. Easy for the family to come along without being submitted to standing around not seeing any bikes for 2hrs.

Well done guys. And good job Lisa for taking the fundraising initiative. Great idea.

See y'all there.

Ricky will have to confirm as that's his department, but it's hard to get anything really technical in a track that's a minute and a half long.

The most technical we got in Nelson was a creek crossing about a foot wide and an inch deep, a slightly tricky climb with rocks poking out of the ground, and a chicane back down.

Here in Wellington one technical aspect was bottlenecking heading in to singletrack and dealing with the unexpected obstacles (those bloody cars!).

I'm thinking I'll run A grade first, assuming they will have a pretty good idea what they're doing, so everyone else can see how it all works while cheering them on.

We have a rough sketch, but here's not really much point - it won't be marked until the day and you can't pre ride it because it doesn't exist until it's marked out...

If you want to get to know the course, best to come and register early and get a few laps in before briefing Smile

Considering how very short and non-serious these short-tracks are, there is a lot of 'pre-piking' going on.

Everyone should be piling in regardless of ability (there are different classes) to supprt and grow the event. This has potential to be awesome and get people into racing who don't fancy the regular XC slog.
