Hey olosaurus, whats the range of torques on that bbb wrench oi?
2-24Nm
Hmm I do not have a torque wrench in my tool collection... what are these ones worth?
$110-ish depending on the shop... Didn't relise BBB did one, I'd be interested to hear the price on the George Henry one if you get one...
Sulco are listing the Norbar SL0 (1-20nm) at $282, the SL1 is a tiny bit more from memory
question with the BBB one has to be accuracy, espec at the lower end of the range (that critical 4nm range for carbon bling)
important thing on the high range wrench is to make sure you get one that can torque in both directions (for doing reverse threaded things like pedals and BBs)

Hmm, 110ish is looking pretty good for that, and I can check the accuracy on it no worries
The BBB ones work great, and are easily accurate enough to handle 4nm, and are rated accurate to +/- 1%, with the amount of usual degradation over time. I expect to be getting a new one in 5 or 6 years, but I'll keep you posted on that...
I've checked my ones calibration against 2 other ones of a similar type belonging to friends, as well as against my own Park Tools TW-1 and TW-2 bar style versions, and it's exactly the same values.
It's reversible like most ratchet handles, so reverse threads can be handled no problem.
Not to mention that it's nearly a third of the price of the next cheapest alternative. For light workshop or home use this torque wrench would be awesome. I'd retail it for $99.
Rad Ed: I have a couple of those Ritchey torque wrenches - very handy.

for the money it's very good value - hell, I think my allen/torx 1/2" drive set cost more than the whole BBB kit (but that's cos it had long reach versions as well as short - essential for those pesky shimano freehub bolts)
for most people who'll only be using it on bars/stems etc it's probably fine (and will markedly lessen the number of thomson bits that get munted by over-enthusiastic tightening)
one question though - whilst it may have a normal 2 way ratchet, does the torque measurement actually engage in the reverse direction? A lot like that will only read in the clockwise direction - reading the BBB instructions it implies it's got the same limit (not a biggie since anything reverse threaded on a bike is going to require torque levels outside what the BBB can go to anyway)
