If we look at Dented, Mr Bob, b_woo and xtmtb as an initial team then I think things are off to a good start. I'll see to another newsletter soon and see if I can get a couple more interested parties.

I dont want more than 5 in the team. If ben and steve are committed then I will get an entry away in 2 weeks. Will register the team name as MTB Tauranga.

This means we have to take it seriously guys Big Grin

TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING!

(I think it works out to about $72 or $75/person. Youse guys can fix me up end of March if thats ok)

I'm a little bit on the gutted side.... I'd love to be the fifth, but because Kristy is due in about 4 weeks I'll most likely still be on home detention changing nappies when the moonride comes around Sad

It's not a defninte 'no you can't go', but there's no way I could say I'll be there and be able to guarantee it. If people are looking for a training partner for the next four weeks or so however, I'm riding usually 4 times a week, doing 20 to 30 km a night at reasonably high speed. Dents, I realise you won't need this because you'd still be able to ride rings around me, but if the other guys need someone to train with....

HA! I havent hardly ridden a bike in 2 weeks!

But I plan to cram 4 months worth of training into 2 weeks leading up to the SS champs, and then taper till the moonride Big Grin

Steve, maybe you should aim for a 12hour team also, get involved in that, then you wont need to overnight, and will only be AWOL for 1 day. Maybe a few of the other MTB Tauranga members might be keen on a (nice and friendly) 12 hour jaunt?
Sounds like you have stepped up the riding lately anyway, good on you Double Thumbs Up

I may have found a 5th team member for the 24 hour team.
I told him he has a month to get fit and into shape Big Grin
