It's not the stairs that's the problem anyway... it's the little short landing bits halfway down the set of stairs that used to bugger me up. Too much speed and I couldn't soak it up enough and would get launched off it and land hard at the bottom. Crazy

I gots me a new camera to record some wheel busting action.

Hey Sprinkles... got a course description?

I'm kinda new to this type of riding (ie on concrete) What sort of tyres would be recommended for this event?

And I happen to have a pair for sale that would be perfect for this event. Double Thumbs Up Worn centre blocks (low rolling resistance), good edge knobbies (for carving on the grass), and dual-ply sidewalls (for stair hucking), $20 and they're yours... or anybody else's. http://www.vorb.org.nz/buysell-listing-71889.html
You can PM me if you're keen. I'm in Hamilton.

I 'm going to be an utter coward on this one, since its the week before ironman I'm going to be wrapping myself in cotton wool for the lead up period, hoping to get down for a watch though.

Straight up, powering off the L block stairs like there's no tomorrow in the middle of a race? And people do that, for fun, on a hardtail? Crazy.

Can anyone post a course map or something up?
