Can you then explain why Paul Needham is still working out there? We're gonna head out Saturday and see what the deal is, I'm still dubious about all this.

Whenever I've rung I just got the answerphone and they never rang back...
Are the jumps gone, or going soon? We were heading out on Saturday to go jumping, that was the only riding worth doing out there

Stink au! I dislocated three good ribs on the 4x track. Gotta be honest though, whenever we have been out there, we have been the only ones there. Maybe people prefer to ride on tracks that are free to access. I hope they keep the lodge and the woolshed open and keep doing climbing stuff.

Many good memories of Castlerock.........will be sadly missed
Can understand where Trevor is coming from though........it may have just broke even in the early heady days but of late, the patronage was slowing down considerably.

Looks like I really will have to build jumps at the block behind my new flat then Castle rock is where I cut my teeth jumping, I loved it out there. Will miss it a lot. Now not only do I avoid it climbing (why pay when its better and free around the corner?) I'll have to sadly look at it as I drive past and thinking about the riding. Really, who would go and pay to ride the trails except the school groups?

Castle rock is a complete shambles!!! Wasted hour and a half of my life, not to mention my ridiculously expensive petrol, driving over there to find it "closed to the public" till feb. Nice to see that they keep their web page updated. The 4x track is still there but the dirt jumps are gone and the "free ride" trail is in complete disrepair. Don't waste your time and money!

Cos it's private property and you could be prosecuted for trepassing if you did?
