Big churrr to Mike for busting his ass making this race run as smoothly as it did even with the road issues.
And to Jono, big Nev and everyone else who made this happen.

Still trips me out that was a 3 minute track, even with all the pedalling it didn't feel like 3 minutes thats for sure.

Hope some decent photos go up, didn't see many cameras sadly.

Well the race ment pear shaped for me. My gears were skipping all the way down and I had to stop in my race run to put my chain back on as my stupid e13 guide hates mud and I couldn't pedal most of the track as my chain kept jamming as well Sad

so its of no suprise that I came dead last. LOL

sorry to hear man , such a shame because you were flying down there a couple of weeks ago and i couldnt catch you.

Still you were one of the few people to get over the doubles sweet witout going around, and with that wind thats saying something.

The Race was a complete sucess and all the goals were achivied.

Distant travellers got a timed run for their series points
Everyone enjoy themselves
No one sustained any bad injuries

Im pretty shagged but it was a great weekend , i totally enjoyied myself and feed off the good atmosphere all around.

Cheers for everyone that helped out , so many people just jumped in and saved our asses when the trucks had problems. cheers to warrick and brooke for doing some running around in their wagon too.

Cheers to Simon for helping with the track marking on friday.

With all the eposure this event has had on tv We need to thank Adrian Armstrong for working with the TV3 people over the last 3 weeks to make this happen.

Thanks to all the Marshalls , not the best day but stood firm and held their ground.
Marshall point was a ledgend!! keeping an eye on the second jump in the windest spot and also acted as a relay point for the radios when communications to the top was failing.
Can i get the names and some contacts for these people please.

The First aid were pretty good too ,taking on marshalling duties to help out.and lending us better radios.

Also the timing people , Jono , kiri ,Craig and John Kingston. done a great job and pulled everything together nicely without any problems.

And ,cynide, ratrod ,Big d , and a couple of other for jumping in to do little task on the day.

Blown away by the amount of parents that stepped up took on marshalling duties and towing trailers.

Oh and thanks to everyone that said thanks Double Thumbs Up

good in all

will see you at he next race in Feb.

I know the turnout for cameras was low but if anyone has a large collection of photos from the event could they burn them to a cd for our club Archieves and send them to me please. Pm me for more info.

Cheers

No I'm going to coming last.

i will be close to the end of the field.

Huh, seems like there's going to be a really stiff competition for the title of the slowest racer, but I'll do my best to beat y'all to it -- have some experience in this matter Big Grin

...that is providing I can find a way to get there: guys, could anyone from Lower or Upper Hutt give me a ride? -- my car broke Sad

So who entered for the slowest time in vets prize and who got the slowest time?

It just so happens Tomaz and spent some hard earned cash on an award that could also help you go faster.

Tell me who the lucky recipient is and i could send it out.it would be nice if we could get a photo presenting the prize maybe:D

He should put them up here. It'd much simpler. And rock just as hard! Satan
