Mountain Bikes Trails Closed to Public

Finally a decision has been reached regarding the fate of the jump park and mtb trails.

With the change in CastleRock's core business, which now encompasses school, corporate and family groups for activities and accommodation, the lack of toilet facilities, and the reduction of staff levels, the management have decided the jump park and mountain bike trails will no longer be open to the public. The jump park itself will be shortly turned back into pasture.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and the time it has taken to reach this decision.

The EasyRider and FreeRide Trails will continue to be operational for groups booked into the Lodge and Woolshed.

EasyRider Trail – suitable for all the family and aimed at the novice rider, the trail takes from one to one and a half hours to complete and circumnavigates the farm taking in the beautiful Puniu River.

FreeRide Trails – set amongst the pines these trails are more suited to intermediate and advanced riders with challenging terrain, short steep ascents, some nice shutes and tricky lines. Up to two hours of fun.

BIKE PARK AND MTB TRAILS
Our apologies to riders, the jump park is closed until the surface has been cleared of moss. We're hoping to reopen in another week or so.

Both the EasyRider and FreeRide are undergoing repairs due to the bad storms we've had recently.
These tracks should both be rideable in approx 2 - 3 weeks time.

Please phone 0800 225 462 for track information or view this site for updates.
