Hi Everyone,
Just a quick report on the first round of the USA national downhill series held in Fontana, CA over the weekend.
The course was basically set right beside the small town with part of it actually running along the back wall of about 40 houses to the finish line. The top section was rocky and a lor of fun to ride then the last half of the course was a flat 50 second sprint which was real test for the fitness.
I got a flat tire in practice which caused me to crash and qualify about 4th to last. In the finals I was having a great run untill i caught the rider in front of me who was riding incredibly slow and made me loose about 4 seconds trying to get past him which disappointed me.
I managed to hold the fastest time for a while but unfortunately being held up cost me a lot of placings and I ended up 23rd in pro men.
ive now got 2 weekends off before i head to Angel Fire, New Mexico for the 2nd round of the national series.
