The tihshouse day I'm having.
1)The weather, it forced me to take the bus to school. I hopped on the wrong one (luckily it was 6:30 in the morning and no one else on, the driver asked where i was going so i only went 100m down the road before being told the right one).
2)Boring day at school. Pathology is gonna ream me when we have test in 2 weeks
3)The lack of decent patients coming in when we are on acutes. I need a decent one so I can do my 2nd long case and get it out of the way to study for all the tests in next 2 weeks. None to be found, so unless I can pilfer a good one off another team tomorrow I'm kcufed and may lose my weekend to the hospital.
I'm also sick of all the cases with nothing medically wrong with them only social problems, just cos the people who should have them are full. General medicine sucks for that.
4) Finding a rip in a classy shirt I've only worn twice.
5)That every now and then I'm missing an iv line/blood. I have awesome success streaks then I get someone easy-ish and end my run of luck!)
In summary, a tihsty day.
atleast I bought a microwave off trademe for one dollar.

Apart from the tihs day, how are you liking Pathology ??
Gross Pathology is cool (looking at all the freaky cool organs etc), its when they give you the histology of micrographs and say interpret this is when it gets boring/hard.
On the plus side if you're a pathologist you dont have to deal with people
Yea young people have good veins Matt, mine you could chuck a dart from the other side of the room and hit one , its little old ladies that are notoriously hard to do cos they have tiny wee ones, and skin like tissue paper.
Ironically I think I've missed 4 in the last few weeks, and the oldest one was early 50's

Deciding not to organise a Uni Club ride for this arvo on the grounds of tihsty weather, then studying SOSC315 all day instead, whilst looking out at the rapidly clearing day. Fiddle sticks.
Huirr, my current reading is called "The Essence of the Hard on" - The Cultural Construction of Erectile Dysfunction. Nothing like making lite of a increasingly bad day
DK, Im no med student, but I feel your pain maing. Gonna get nailed by tests in a couple of weeks.
How the kcuf do you spend $240 on schoolgear!!!!! I got through all of high school with 80c Bic pens and 98c 1B5 exercise books
Depends what subjects you take
in the mid 90's I would have had easily $200 of school gear, had a good calculator, gear for technical drawing , it all added up, I would hate to think what it would all cost now
Stuff that, dearest thing i'v had to buy is a $26 geology lab book, anything dearer than that n i'd be complaining
Nah bol, all you needs is a HB pencil and a Mighty pad
